Barry University School of Law U.S. Supreme Court Induction 2017

Barry Law School has secured a date for a small group of Barry Law Alumni to be sworn In before the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, DC. The date is set for March 22, 2017.

To be eligible for admission to the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court you

  • must have been admitted to the highest court in your state for at least 3 years immediately before the date of application;
  • must not have been subject of any adverse disciplinary action pronounced or in effect during that 3 year period;
  • must appear to the Court to be of good moral and professional character;
  • must secure the endorsement of 2 sponsors who must be members of the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court and know you personally but are NOT related to you by blood or marriage;
  • must obtain a certificate of good standing from the presiding judge, clerk or other authorized official of the highest court in your state.

Please note that the cost of travel to/from Washington, DC, your overnight accommodation and the admission fee of $200 is your own responsibility. Each applicant may bring 1 guest to witness the induction.
